Today (Feb. 6, 2009), we are pleased to present a live tax education seminar, starting at 1 p.m.
We're broadcasting from the Anderson Auditorium at The Carnegie Center for Art and History in New Albany, Indiana.
The event is being presented by the New Albany Urban Enterprise Association and the Jeffersonville UEA in conjunction with One Southern Indiana and the River Ridge Commerce Center.
Featured presenters are Patrick Reardon, Executive Director of the Hammond (Ind.) UEA, and Frank Hoffman and Jon Anderson, partners in the law firm Kreig-Devault, LLC.
Among the topics to be discussed are economic incentives in urban enterprise zones, New Market Tax Credits, and investment incentives regarding tax-increment financing (TIF) districts and other economic incentive zones.
While much of the seminar will be devoted to Indiana provisions, we're sure that most of the program will be of interest to many business investors throughout the U.S.
Our thanks to Mike Ladd, executive director of the New Albany UEA and the staffs of Destinations Booksellers and of Jimmy's Music Center, all of downtown New Albany.
